Children's Day

Yesterday was Children's Day (1/10/07).

I was on half-day mc due to having slight fever.

In the afternoon, went to my brother in law's office as his office is organising children's day party. All the parents brought their children to celebrate children's day.

The office is very big and all the colleagues is very helpful and friendly. There was this little eurasian boy, Patrick, 4 years old, very cute and smart. He speaks very well thought he is just only 4 years old. His mom is the HR Director of MTV.

There are snacks and games for us to play. We even tour the Company and it was very fun.

人生无常

It had been sometimes I didn't blog.

Well, my colleague's mother passed away on 13th September 07 in SGH. Just bearly one month, after being diagonised that she had bladder cancer.

Well, it was good for her as she no needs to suffer so much as compared to those who are still struggling for their lives. As we look at the bright side, she is lucky as she only suffered for that one month. I heard of many people saying that those who has the 'C', they have to endure for the pain and have to go for the treatment which makes them vomitting and no strength. The body will become weak as days goes by.

So, considered my colleague's mother finally being '解脱' of the sickness. As what old people said : it's good that it reliefs the pain and who knows that she will be happy in the other world.


Nowadays, I try to look on the bright side. Though, working in a corporate environment, there is alot of polticial people around us and I will try my best no to think about it.

I try to be happy and don't think so much!

Resigned

Today, I'm surprised to hear that one of my colleague had tendered his resignation on Monday.

He just joined the Company in May 07 and has been with the Company for only barely four months. Never expected that he will tendered at this time as it is going towards end of the year and everyone is waiting for the year-end bonus.

He told me that he can't adapt the working culture here and also he can't get along with his boss. Well, his boss also joined the same month as him. Both of them have different working style.

Frankly speaking, in this working life, everyone has his or her problems. I do also has problems working with my bosses for the past 12 years in this Company. Everywhere you go, the Company and the bosses are the same.

Sometimes, I'm thinking, if all the bosses like my ex-company boss in Gleneagles, I will be very happy. I remember 12 years ago, when I joined them, (though only for about a year), I'm very happy because the two bosses, Margaret (HR Manager) and Irene (Assistant HR Manager) were a very good bosses. Every week, both of them will brought us out for lunch and if they can't make it during lunch hours, they will tried to make it after work for dinner. As both of them drive, so, we will sat on their car. Both bosses will paid for us for the lunch or dinner. Not only that, they will talked to us whenever they are free during working hours to ask us whether we can cope our work and makes jokes with us.

I joined for nearly about three months, both of them left Gleneagles. I was quite sad because in my ten over years working life, I never met such a good bosses. We are like own family members and we shared our happiness and sorrows.

I really missed those days..............and hope that in future, I can bump into them and see them again.

Headache

Has been having headache since yesterday.

Everytime, before menus comes, I definitely have headache and it really kills me because no matter how many pandols you take, the headache still there.

I ever heard that it will be happened to anyone but it always happens to me. The headache will only go off when the menus comes, so have to bear with it.

Had been taking 2 pandols today and whole body very tired. I almost fall asleep while doing my work. I have to be attentive or else, will not be able to finish my work, so sian!

Yesterday, went out with friends. Then reached home, dad told me that Aunty Julie called and talked to him. He asked me to return her call. I was so pissed off because, last time, he was the one who asked me not to talked to her so much and now, asked me to call her.



Who is Aunty Julie? Aunty Julie is my niece's bf's mother. 7 years ago, her bf''s father fell down at home and was hospitalised. At that point of time, my niece just statrted came to know this bf through IRC. Then due to they just knew each other, she was inconvenienced to visit the bf's father in hospital, so I represented her to go to hospital to visit his bf's father. From there, that was I came to know his bf's family members.



Subsequently, went out with Aunty Julie and from there, she introduced her friend, Aunty Man to me. Aunty Man was a chief Nurse in SGH before she retired. She is a very caring, loving and concern person. She was married but divorced and she had a son who is not married and around 40+ years old. She will called and asked me out whenever she was free. I really like her alot as she is very understanding.



Wherelse, for Aunty Julie, she is okay, except, one thing I don't like her is because her mouth is very bad, always talked bad about other people and always makes up stories. She always like to critize her eldest daughter in-law. By the way, she had 2 sons. One of them was married and the younger son is my niece's bf.

Anyway, I try my best to make a distant with her. When she called you, she always like to complained to you about her daughter-in-law and my niece. Also, she will praised in front of you about her sons, saying them, one had been promoted to Assitant Director and the other one also had been promoted. I was thinking, who cares man! Why told me all these things when I'm not interested at all.

Then she also tried to find out from me about my niece's parents and their family matters. I'm so sickening about all these.....

If possible, how I wish I don't want to know her, at least, I don't have all these 'troubles'!

Sad

Yesterday, my neighbour told me that her friend's mother was diagnosed liver cancer and was in advance stage.

I know her friend through her and her sister is working in my Company and is my colleague. When I heard that my heart sank. I ever saw her mother before, that was somewhere last year. She looked so healthy and did not looked like she has any sickeness at all. Her mother is just only 50+, good in cooking and care for the family members.

As what people always said : "生命无常". 人真的是那么的脆弱。Think about it, we should treasure our family members and friends around us, don't take them for granted.

I sincerely hope that their mother can fight for the battle.
